It's time to share your voice with the world.

If you've clicked onto this page, it's for a reason. You're here because you have a story to tell: we can make that happen together.Whether you're looking for support in bringing your bright ideas to the world, or an advocate to tell a story you can't tell with your own voice, Peel Back Education is the platform for lifting you and your lived experiences up. Whatever you have to say, we'd be honoured to hear it and help you tell the world too. But, before we get started, you probably have some questions about us too, right?

Who or what is Peel Back Education?

Peel Back Education is a blog project with heart from April Braithwaite - that's me! I currently work for UK-based EdTech company Book Creator as an operations and marketing specialist.Passionate about the realities of education and mission-driven to a fault, I started Peel Back Education to offer my skills in writing and digital marketing to ordinary educators with stories to tell. There's no hidden messages, no gotcha sign-ups or advertising, it's simple: real educator stories told by a lifelong storyteller.Connect with me personally on LinkedIn - I'm always happy to chat or answer any questions you may have.

Why are you doing this?

To provide a voice for educators who may otherwise not tell their story. I'm taking lived experiences from our community and turning them into beautiful murals of words, credited or anonymous.

What have you written before?

Aside from Peel Back Education, you can read my work on the Book Creator blog and on my personal LinkedIn. Check out this case study on literacy interventions, and this one on tackling absenteeism.

Who can be featured?

Peel Back Education is for uplifting the voices of classroom educators. If you're a teacher, a coach who goes into classrooms, a librarian, or anyone who works with children and makes a real impact in campuses across the world - this blog is for you.

What do I get for being featured?

As mentioned, this project is purely a storytelling journey. We can't offer any payment for this work. However, if you would like to promote something in your article, you are welcome to mention it and talk about it. You can also share the article to show you have been featured as an inspiring educator in a publication.

Can I be anonymous?

Yes! If you'd prefer to tell your story anonymously, we can arrange that. All participants will receive a final draft of their article to approve before it is published, so you have control over how your story is told.

How do we get started?

I'm glad you asked! Let me tell you...

How does it work?

We keep our process simple and human-centered so we can get to what really matters - your voice.1. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page to book in your coffee chat - this will be over Google Meet. Prefer to text or call? Drop April an email at [email protected] to arrange a time/platform for you.
2. Attend your meeting. This will be recorded so April can make the most of your story, and tell it authentically. Don't worry, though, nothing will be used without your approval.
3. Wait for your draft. After your meeting, April will get to work writing your story. Once it is written, April will send it over to you along with any video assets for your approval. This is so you can make any edits or suggestions you wish before we go live.
4. Share your story! Once approved, you will be given a scheduled date to expect your article to be live. When it's up, you can share with your community.
So... are you ready to tell your story?
